Watercolour has enabled me to express my love of colour and light. The process of building layers of transparent paint is teaching me to see things differently. Now, when I look at a tree, I don’t just see a green tree and I love that.

Creativity and the need to learn has always been an unquenchable thirst within me. Over the years I have expressed this urge in many ways including the making of beautiful stained glass windows, lamps and more. For 10 years I shared this art form by teaching it to others and by selling finished pieces to individuals and a few local stores. Fibre art is another way I’ve found to fill this need by dying fabric and colour planning I create original designs.

In 2004 I decided to take a drawing class through the Windsor parks department, the results were surprising and rewarding. I’ve always loved the look of watercolour paintings so I decided to continue with art classes. The most inspirational teachers I’ve experienced so far are Julia Conlon and Constance Noyle.
