Over the past many years, Jeff has always encouraged his wife Doreen as an artist and assisted her in exhibiting her work with shows etc. 

Since Jeff retired, he would travel to Haliburton School of Art with Doreen so she could take art classes for a week during the summer. To occupy himself during the week he spent there, he decided to take a class for himself called “Drawing for Dummies” which he enjoyed very much. 

Later he attended University of Windsor drawing class.  He first started painting in watercolours and then switched to acrylics.  He now takes classes with artist Dennis Smith.
