Pauline Morais
(aka P.Q. Morais) is a native of the Windsor Tecumseh area where she has always lived and worked. She began painting in oils in the mid 90s with the help of a colleague art teacher. She was a teacher, consultant and principal for the french catholic school board where she put most of her energies until retiring. She then decided to explore acrylic painting and multimedia with cut glass and resin. She started taking courses with Windsor Parks and Rec as well as in Florida, and online courses with Acrylic University which featured lessons from artists such as Jed Dorsey, Dianna Shyne, Brian Buckrell,and Jennifer Bowman, as well as guest appearances from other artists. Pauline believes that learning is a lifelong process. She likes exploring new techniques to improve her art process. Her artwork depicts her passion for nature. She loves the golden hour and the many hues and colours that come from it, be it reflections or shadows. She has participated in several art shows with the Windsor Artist Collective and Nancy John's Art Studios. She is a member of Art Council of Windsor Essex (ACWE) , Art Windsor Essex (AWE) and now of A.R.A.
