Bobbi Wagner
Bobbi Wagner relocated to Amherstburg last year after completing an active career at Sheridan College Institute in Oakville, Ontario, as a Professor of Art in the School of Animation, Arts and Design. She has exhibited her artistic creations internationally and her work is in collections across Canada, in the United States, Central and South America and Japan.
Bobbi relies on her native ancestry as a source of intuition and inspiration. This connection became more apparent to her when she discovered that Amherstburg and Windsor was one of the centres for her Wyandotte ancestors. True to Impressionist style, her paintings are evocative of time, place and mood. In her Artist Statement she says; “ I am a colourist and I paint en plein air, because my observations inspire me and evoke feelings, impressions, and memories. The places I where have painted are relative to my experience." |
