Felice Desmarais
Felice is the matriarch of a very large and loving family and yet she finds the time to pursue her love of painting in oils. She prefers landscapes and florals as subjects. Her use of colour is dramatic and her finished paintings speak to the heart of the observer.
I have been drawing since I was about 10, oil painting started at about sixteen, and have now just started acrylics, this past year. Have only done about 10 oils in my lifetime, and two watercolour, so far haven’t had a lesson but would like one on portraits, and acrylics and just about anything else I can get my hands on. Prefer landscapes and creatures. Will be 60 in December, have two grown children one married and living in Calgary (a Calgary Stampede princess in 2000) and a son who is now engaged and will be married August 30th this year. Have a big red Irish Setter (dog), Cassie who is a great friend and companion and is very protective of me. Do stained glass as a hobby/business and would like to do more artwork. |
